The Power Of Hub Pages
62The Power Of The Written Word
One of the big problems facing anyone marketing on the web - if not the biggest problem - is getting noticed and communicating with your target audience.
It is not easy, but there is plenty of advice out there on a myriad of techniques on how to pull a never-ending stream of customers to your website.
I don't know about you, but I am not a "techie" and I find it all just as mystical as Harry Potter passing through a brick wall. You can preach to me about SEO, backlinks, forward links, writing linked articles for ezines, buying prospects and opt-in email lists and I just feel completely overwhelmed by it all.
However, as my job is a writer and copy editor, I was naturally persuaded that writing articles and including backlinks was a good way to go and I have made a few subsmissions on subjects that interest me to ezines in the past.
What really took me by surprise was when I returned to my account with Hub Pages, because I had something really worthwhile to say about the subject of benefactoring.
I know the idea of paying some one into your business has been knocked on the head because many benefactored people do not seem to be sufficiently appreciative of the gesture to actually repay the kindness and work at the business with you.
They just seem to want a free ride. Well I have now set up a website with the benefactoring feature built into the businesses I am promoting thanks to an innovation by a leading website owner and mass recruiter.
The idea is that when you join my businesses, you can buy the referrals you need - that is benefactor those people - but those people who opt to be helped, or benefactored - have to do a little work and get their own referrals.
So the person doing the benefactoring is buying a referral who already has referrals of his or her own, because a position in the company is not offered to them until that bit of recruiting has been achieved by the benefactored.
Well, having got that wordy explanation out of the way, brings me to the all-important point I want to make.
I already had my website in Page One of Google for the keyword "benefactoring".
Now get this: within 24 HOURS of that article being posted to my Hub Pages account it was showing on Page Two of Google, which to me was truly amazing.
I will never again underestimate the power of Hub Pages. It has certainly got my message of benefactoring and being benefactored across to a huge audience in double-quick time - and at no cost other than the time it took me to write the article.
So all I can say to everyone is this: provided you write a half-decent article (if you don't write, you can commission one at Elance inexpensively), and get your keywords spot-on, you too can get into the premier listings of any search engine via your very own Hub Pages account.
I know that Hub Pages has been around for some time now and it is quite clear that it is one of the sites that is regarded with the utmost importance and respect by the Google spiders - and probably those of the other major search engines, too.
Having discovered this "open-door" to maximum communication with my target audience, you can bet that I will be replicating what I have achieved. Thanks, Hub Pages!
